His major was in the Counseling Psychology program (2001, Ankara University) and he was trained as an Educational Psychologist with a secondary affiliation in the Developmental Psychology program. His research interests are: identity formation, parental bonding, agentic personality, need for closure, emerging adults, and the transition to adulthood. He is a member of the Society for Research on Identity Formation, the Society for the Study of Emerging Adulthood, and the European Association for Research on Adolescence.
