Jillian Fish

Doctoral Student, Counseling Psychology

Jill focuses on transforming social institutions to make them more inclusive and equitable for people from underrepresented backgrounds, specifically, Native Americans. In addition to this, Jill aims to shift institutional knowledge of Native American peoples as a means of increasing their visibility in the United States, and as a result, challenge and change prevailing narratives of Native Americans. She works towards these ends through her volunteer work regarding Native American youth programming; engagement in activism through community and national events, outreach, and education; and her research concerning the experiences of Native Americans and other ethnic minorities in navigating and engaging with such social structures.
